It is in these waters of Yucatan, between Isla Mujeres (across from Cancun) and the biosphere of Isla Contoy, where the big fish are lurking. Marlin, Dorado, Sailfish and Yellowfin Tuna tempt fishermen throughout the year
Due to the unique topography, the area is virtually perched on the edge of a valley under water. The ocean floor plunges dramatically into the darkness of the deep blue, which brings the area for fishing large size almost to the shore. Sport fishermen also praise the southern beaches of this area for its abundance of Dorado, Wahoo, Barracuda, Jack Crevalle, snapper, grouper, Spanish Mackerel and other species.
